SevenClick means absolutely nothing.

It’s, like Häagen-Dazs, another invented word to represent a company. But in this case, our goal with the name were so much different from the ice-cream company one.

When I started to think about the enterprise name, five were the characteristics that I was searching.

A name that means nothing at all.

A word that everybody can read and say in any language, sounding in the same way.

A word that sounds cool, fresh, young and passionated over all.

A word with zero or similar founded items when you search it in Google.

A related domain with all domain extensions free (.com, .net, .org,…)

Easy? Nothing at all.

After two weeks writing several options on a big notebook, more than 150 bad names, all of my familiy hating me, Google telling me if I was stupid or something else… the inspiration came to me… Well, inspiration really came to my wife

We were having lunch, saying names and more and more names… when she said,… “sevenpin, sevenchic,… sevenclick,… fivepin, sixpuk,…”

In that moment, I quickly stopped her, ran to my laptop, and wrote in Google for my first time “SEVENCLICK”. A word that you can tell in Spanish and English and sounds in the same way, a name that means nothing, a word that sounds cool, fresh, young and passionated… And finally, a word with less than 200 founded items in Google and with all domain extensions free…!

Yes! Yes! Thank you darling! SevenClick! SevenClick!
Wow! It’s young, it’s cool… SevenClick! I like it!
SevenClick! It’s easy, it’s great! It’s the name!

Two minutes later, all the domains were bought… by me, of course!

Are you wishing on handle any japanese mobile phone in your country?. It could come true soon, because Japan Goverment and mobile phone manufactures are thinking on market its mobile phones overseas, possibly even targeting U.S. consumers for its shiny, super fast handsets. I hope Europe too. (I have my iPhone, but I love Japan handsets, I´d like to get one of those.)

The first technology the initiative hopes to take global is the Wallet Phone, a handset that mixes mobile payment capabilities with top of the line cell phone features. The handsets use embedded FeliCa chips (designed by Sony) that allow users to pay for purchases, train tickets and items in compatible vending machines by just waving their phone.

While folks in Japan have been using mobile phones to pay for things since 2004, the technology is not yet widely available in the U.S. and Europe and the missing infrastructure in stores, stations and vending machines may be a hurdle for the Japanese initiative.

While the U.S. might be a difficult market for Japanese cell phones, an official with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications reportedly said that Asian nations such as Taiwan and South Korea have been asking for Japanese cell phones for years.

I am not sure if we could finally buy this handsets in Europe (I hope someday), but here i leave some videos of Japan handsets in order to satisfy your wishes, some of them including stupid features, and others built in great cover designs . You can check too some available mobile phones in Japan in this link.

These spectacular devices combine exclusive design, original features and fines quality materials. Some of their peculiarites are that the time is reveled tapping the device and the ring is silenced turning it down. Also exclusive sounds and backgrounds have been created specially for them.

But this exclusivity has a price and, in this case, a high one. They will be in the market at the end of this year, and their cost will be about 1.100€.

Nokia has released today this big news:

Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and NTT DOCOMO announced today their intent to unite Symbian OS(TM), S60, UIQ and MOAP(S) to create one open mobile software platform. Together with AT&T, LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics, STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments and Vodafone they plan to establish the Symbian Foundation to extend the appeal of this unified software platform.

The Foundation will provide a unified platform with common UI framework. A full platform will be available for all Foundation members under a royalty-free license, from the Foundation’s first day of operations.

The Foundation will make selected components available as open source at launch. It will then work to establish the most complete mobile software offering available in open source. This will be made available over the next two years and is intended to be released under Eclipse Public License (EPL) 1.0.

“Establishing the Foundation is one of the biggest contributions to an open community ever made,” said Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, CEO of Nokia.

The Foundation’s platform will build on the leading open mobile software platform, with more than 200 million phones, across 235 models.

This is one of the biggest announcements in mobile phones field in years, mobile leades to unify a software, mainly to beat the iphone´s career. I think. iPhone keeps your chin up.

Telefonica Movistar has uploaded its iPhone website, where you can join to receive further information about the new iPhone and its lunch, but in the web there is a suspicious slogan: “Movistar brings you the magic of the Iphone, Do you want to know when?”. Umm “When?” sounds not this June, maybe Movistar “will” bring you the magic of the iPhone but who knows when.

Rumors talk about new 3G iPhone will be delayed maybe some weeks, and Telefónica announced that its Iphone presentation will be next June 18th, it sounds not good, because if Telefonica presents the iphone next June 18th and in its web they tell you to register for further information, people like me that want this gadget now probably we have to wait for a “long” time. : (
