Past week CEATEC JAPAN 2008 ended, and japanese technology amazed the public again. A new revolutionary mobile phone concept, created by Fujitsu and NTT DoCoMo, was reveal. It is about a phone that splits in two different pieces, the Separeeto Keitai (see this video).

The Separeeto Keitai consists in two independent pieces that can be use separately. One is a touchscreen and the other is a keyboard segment. The touchscreen part contains the software and the camera and, besides, is able to offer a virtual keyboard, numeric keypad, and game controller as needed, depend on the users are holding it. On the other hand, the keyboard part takes charge of communications (radio and 3G).

The two parts are joined by a magnet and connected via Bluetooth. This allow to configure their positions in diferents ways and, a real new utility, to enable users to make a phone call and write emails at the same time!!

It’s a pity to say that but, in the time being, this device is only a prototype.
