Steve! Please Fix the iPhone

October 31st, 2008 by lvaro Arregui

Some weeks ago, people from Fullsix launched the web Please fix the iPhone. A peculiar web where people can add a wish to the wish list for future iPhone implementations or just to fix something.

Today there are 1800 wishes and 272846 votes catalogued in more than 60 categories.

Here we leave the wish top 3. Of course these are the most needed :D

I hope Mr Steve finally listen to the voice of the people, because iPhone exists thanks to them.

Many thanks Daniel Domingo ;-)

New Google Android Phone

October 29th, 2008 by Alberto Aparicio

Since Google announced Android mobile phone platform, lot of companies are developing mobile devices using Android OS.

HTC was the first with his T-Mobile G1, but have already joined to the list Motorola, Samsung, LG and possibly in a short period of time Nokia.

Now Asus also works on an Android phone to be released in the first half of 2009. The model will be the Asus P552W Glide touch-screen, which is already available for Windows Mobile.

Furthermore according to rumors, the first users will have this new Asus, will be Taiwaneses.

In my opinion, even if the device haven’t got QWERTY keyboard I like more than the T-Mobile G1.

Momail, now in Spain

October 28th, 2008 by Rafael Garca

Thanks to Gizmovil, we have get noticed of the release of Momail in Spain. Now we can enjoy the push mobile email solution offered by MomailSystems, a Sweden based company.

The Momail service is now available in 14 countries in Europe. A beta release is available in 20+ more countries.

Momail offers free and easy-to-use push mobile email that integrates with all your current accounts. Some features of the system are:

  • No client installation. The service rely on built-in email client.
  • 1100 handsets suppported.
  • Email message optimization.
  • Attachments ( and optimization of the attachments)
  • Push email (by means of IMAP IDLE)

It looks really fine. I will give it a try!

We bet mobile email will become a mainstream application in the next months, as the flat rates for data become affordable. And we, of course, are talking about PUSH email.

And, going beyond email, it will allow the boom of push-based mobile applications, in a broader sense.
