Now we can say that the new HTC Dream is closer than ever, because FCC has just approved its technical operation and also has received the Wi-Fi certificate. This means that it’s ready to go to the market, as we started to talk in a previous post.
These are some of its features:
- 3G connectivity
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth 2.0
- Qwerty keyboard
- “Sidekick” screen: the screen is what moves, not the keyboard.
- Multitactile screen
- Trackball with “BlackBerry” like functionality.
- 528 MHz Qualcomm processor
- 128 MB of RAM
- 256 MB of ROM
At this point this seems to be the launch of a “usual” mobile device, but the fact that this will be the first device for Android Google’s O.S., makes it really different. The waiting time is coming to and end, now T-Mobile, HTC, and Google are free to announce with an October launch as originally planned. There is an Android testing video on HTC Dream, available in this previous post.
It’s time to check Android…
