Via XatakaMovil, we get noticed about the seventh generation of BlueCore, BlueCore7, the new chip from CSR that provides Low Power Bluetooth support in 3.2 x 3.6 millimeters.
In addition to Low Power Bluetooth, this brand new chip also integrates Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, eGPS (enhanced Global Positioning System), and FM transmit and receive technologies.
CSR claims to be the first chip in the world integrating all these technologies all-in-one. For sure, it will find place in many wireless devices like cellphones, cameras, MP3 players.
As CSR declares, BlueCore7 will be in volume production from Q4 2008.

Nice project. But it would be cheaper to buy a ready-made commercial Bluetooth GPS. Usually those things have internal batteries with a charging circuit. And they come in very compact housing.
