Brightkite, the new microblogging.

April 30th, 2008 by Alvaro Arregui

Brightkite is not another microblogging tool, it is like twitter or Pownce, but with some handy location-based features. It let you see what people around you are doing in real time.

You can attach your current position to small 140 character posts, it also lets you see who is around you based on when they “checked in.

Users can create for places they frequent often and meet people who do the same activities, like gym or café, in order to avoid having to type it out each time they post.

Maybe it is one of the best options of microblogging available for mobile. You can create an account now, but is still a beta.
