Hey all

Just for everyone’s general information, in case there are others like who want to know the difference between Sennheiser CX-300, CX-400 and CX-500 models:

There is NO technological difference, no difference in sound quality between the three models.

The only difference is a few bells and whistles (like an in-line volume control, a crappy leather pouch, and some extra buds in the CX-500) which aren’t worth the whopping difference in price.
Trust me on this. I got this information from someone working at Sennheiser. He HIMSELF recommended that I save my money and buy the CX-300.

Yeah that’s what I wondering. There’s a HUGE difference in price. In fact, the CX500 is almost double the price of the CX300 )I’m buying it in India). Seems criminal if I end up spending double the money just for the aesthetic differences which incidentally aren’t all that different either!!

I am not sure, because I have not tested the Shennheiser CX300, sorry! . Sometimes Brands makes the same base models with minimum differences like aesthetic aspects, probably CX300 & CX500 are the same.

Hey,

I plan to purchase a Sennheiser canalphone from the CX range for my iPod Classic. Can you tell me the difference between CX300 and CX500 in terms of sound quality? The Sennheiser site says the same thing for all of them, and I can’t make out which to buy, especially since CX500 is way more expensive than CX300. Thanks.

I´m not sure which earphones are the best for “acoustic-soft” around 70-80$, because the best for the music style you like in this review is the Jays Q-jays, but it costs 169€.

You can take a look to Jays web to know more about its products, and maybe J-Jays is the best choice, and it is for only 69$.
