This two devices, launched yesterday by the Korean manufacturer, are focused in stylish design rather than advanced functionality.
In a bold statement, Geesun Choi,President of Samsung’s Telecommunication Network said that “the phones design is going to give the female costumers complete convenience and satisfaction.”.
Although women are more likely to be interested in design, I’m my opinion, a well designed but rather useless device should have little chances of success.
Anyway, the main features of these devices are (apart from the outter desing):
The European release is scheduled to be in February (Hungary & Russia) and a few months later in the rest of Europe. They will be sold, unsubsided, at a price of 240 € (SGH-L320) and 220 € (SGH-L310).

Nokia and Facebook are negotiating a new alliance in order to include a built-in direct access to the social network in every Nokia device. In addition Nokia may be developing an improved Symbian version of the social network application.
Obviously, this is another step further in the Nokia’s strategy to become an internet company (like the previous steps of launching the OVI platform, buying Navteq, Avvenu, Mosh…). The next logical step would be to buy one of the most famous Web 2.0 applications…. but which one?
Although not confirmed, there is a rumour that refers to a possible purchase of a stake of Facebook by Nokia, thus confirming the Nokia’s will to become an internet giant.

The Nokia flagship device has recently been certifed by the Digital Living Network Alliance. This makes the N95 the first mobile phone to achieve this certication, clearly differentiating it from its competitors.
Moreover, this means that the N95 is able to connect and serve up music, images and videos to other devices around the house. As Nokia is a renown member of the DLN Alliance, it is very likely that the future devices inside the finnish company portfolio may be granted with this certification.
Take a look at the official certificate here (PDF).
