Have you ever wanted to share a video recording from your mobile phone?
Have you ever wanted to broadcast video from your mobile phone?
Solaiemes, a Spanish Start-up, has the solution: Solaiemes LiveServe.
What offers LiveServe?
Video broadcasting from your mobile phone. The most remarkable feature offered by LiveServe is the lack of third party applications to perform the broadcasting process. Just a Nokia N-Series device or a SIP standard softphone from the internet.
How can I share my broadcasted content?
This is what I like most. LiveServe allows you to include a widget in your personal website or blog. This widget is where your recordings will be broadcasted, allowing public access if you want. The widget can even combine more than a broadcasting source, being able to access the information broadcasted by several users or systems at the same time, with the same interface.
Which are the most typical applications for this technology?
These are the initial use cases designed by Solaiemes to test this service.
Conclussions
Thanks to our friends from Solaiemes, we have been able to watch a demo of the service from their blog (find the reference below). I want to admit that the results are awesome. The demo consisted in two devices lively broadcasting in the widget. The video quality was far from perfect, but acceptable in my opinion. In oposition, the audio quality was very good. The service only suffered a less than 2 seconds latency, which is acceptable enough to certain use cases. During the demo, tons of application ideas came into my mind.
Here is one Solaiemes promotional video showing LiveServe capabilities.

Thank you very much to Solaiemes staff for the demo.
