Just after the end of the past year, Gear Live released a video showing to the world the goodies of the newest iPhone firmware version.
In the video you will see some of the new features:
- You will be able to organize your menu icons and dock them in the lower bar.
- Send multi-person SMS (this is so obvious that I don’t understand why Jobs’ people did’nt integrate it from the beginning!).
- Some Google Maps improvements (“Locate Me”,Hibrid Mode, Traffic Layer…).
- Add bookmarks of your favourite webpages to your home screen (YES!, now you can create shortcuts!!!).
Apparently, this new firmware version aims to expand the “WOW” factor rather than add useful features. Only the Google Maps improvements seem appealing to me by adding some functionalities while keeping up with the stylish design.
Of course, this firmware update continues the struggle to keep the iPhone jailed… The point is, for how long?
