Nowadays, in Japan, there is a fierce struggle between two mobile operators (NTT DoCoMo and SoftBank) in order to gain the leadership of the huge Japanese mobile market.
First, Yahoo (search engine leader in Japan), launched, along with Softbank a set of applications to be used over the mobile phone. Now, NTT DoCoMo and Google have come to an agreement to do the same.
By the end of the next Spring, NTT DoCoMo users will be able to access Google search, e-mail, scheduling and photo features through the i-mode service.
This strategic alliance is aimed to increase the number of users as it has been reduced lately due legal changes in Japan. However NTT DoCoMo stocks have risen 3.3 percent since the news release.
