Over the last weeks we have written some post talking about J2ME Polish, a framework for developing JME applications.
Now, a new similar framework comes to us. Developed by a Spanish company, Elondra S.L., OpenBaseMovil is an open source framework for rapid development of J2ME business applications.
It has been issued under GPL 2.0 license. Anyway, if you are not developing open source applications, commercial licenses are available too.
The OpenBaseMovil framework seems to be very powerful. These are some of its features:
- MVC framework.
- Script engine. XML + script conforms the presentation layer.
- DB engine and data synchronization engine.
- bmServer. Server side for data synchronization.
- Helper tools. Resource packaging, view compiling, …
It seems to be really interesting. We only miss CSS support, that is one of the main features of Polish.
