Travel companies in the Asia-Pacifics stimulate  tourism by mobile. This is because this region’s citizens are the most active mobile users, above North Americans and Europeans according to researches.

These companies have decided to use the mobile phone to communicate with its customers.

Philippine Airlines and Cebu Air now provide SMS ticket confirmation services to all its local consumers.

The region has seen a growth called “moblogs”. Travelers post their text and photos on their phones. This trend is particularly in Singapore.

Paying for services via mobile phones is also taking off in the region, particularly in Japan where technology has been improved to guarantee security.

In this zone, the use of mobile is very extended across all ages and classes. In Hong-Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan, people use their mobiles to send SMSs and watch TV.

Reports predict that there will be one billion people watching mobile TV in next five years.
