Via NoticiasDotCom, we read that América Móvil joins Open Handset Alliance. America Movil is the Mexico-based carrier owned by Carlos Slim, the third richest man of the world according to Forbes.
This would be good news for Alliance, since América Móvil is the leading carrier in Central and South America, disputing its leadership with Telefonica, that had already joined the Alliance.
We have not found official confirmation, neither in América Móvil or Open Handset Alliance websites.
