After a short wait of just one week, and always according to announcement made by OHA (Open Handset Alliance), the SDK for OHA’s platform will be out today. Some may say that it is irrelevant, since first mobile phones won’t be launched till Q4 2008. In our opinion, this is a better strategy than Apple’s one. Once the mobiles are available, there will be plenty of applications waiting to be tested.
Jonathan Schwarz, SUN Microsystem CEO’s, mentioned that the SDK will be based on JAVA. I’m looking forward to get the SDK to verify this point. The official announcement didn’t mention JAVA at all, but some sources did. Let’s see.
One more thing. Do you still call it Google Phone? At least for some time, don’t forget to write down the words “Google Phone Programming”, “gPhone” or “gPhone SDK”. It will raise your site’s visit count!!!!!!
Once the SDK is out, you’ll find extra information and a deep analysis in SevenClick’s blog.
