These three new handsets will be released the first quarter of the next year. The W380 and W890 are the two new Walkman Series and the K660, the latest K-series handset.
- W380: Another member of the Walkman family, this time featuring an interesting gesture control. The user may perform some operations by moving the handset with his / her hand. Also with 512 Mb memory, FM radio and TrackID.
- W890: This device comes with the new multimedia player software, Walkman 3.0, which is great due its functionality. What is not that great is the built-in memory: 40 Mb. This memory size in a “multimedia” device is just ridiculous, even if a SD card slot is added. One possible attenuating fact could be the prize, not yet revealed.
- K660: Instead of multimedia playback, this HSDPA handset is focused to Internet. It is not only its powerful connectivity but its built-in software and dedicated hardware:
- RSS reader, IM client, e-mail manager, Google Maps and Netfront browser.
