Nokia N·Gage games platform delayed to December

November 5th, 2007 by Jose Manuel Cristobal

Nokia has published in N·Gage official blog the confirmation of the delay that N·Gage platform will suffer. The new official date is December. Official sources mention two more weeks for platform testing purposes. Nothing serious in my opinion, since almost every software project suffers some delays. And this one should be considered as a minor one.

Nokia is also having problems with Ovi music service, where Warner has removed its music catalogue from Nokia because it fears copyright violations. Nokia has a file-sharing Web site called Mosh which is being used to distribute copyrighted material. The two companies are in talks to discuss Warner’s fears that its materials could be pirated.

Not very good news for Ovi. Starting the service platform with problems in the music service and a delay in the gaming service is not good at all.
