Both companies have launched the new N95 based “Mobile Journalism Tookit”. This new mobile takes moblogging to a higher level. This way, a lot of people will be able to use this mobile to make reports and contribute to the citizen journalism.

Reporters were given a hardware that consisted of an N95, a Nokia Su-8W portable keyboard, a Sony condenser mic with special N95 adapter, a tripod and two Power Monkey power stations, including the solar-capable Explorer, all of which linked into a custom mobile CMS that allows stories to be posted almost instantly.

Reuters also partnered with Comvu for GPS-linked video streaming.

Nokia and Reuters want to use this kit for teaching purposes with journalism students.

Let’s hope that the cameraphone doesn’t be used as a spy camera, neither the mass media be affected with this new system of journalism, where all the world can say what they think.
