Do you remember old days of Napster? I do. It was the time of internet explossion, .com fever, buys and sells, and last but not least, music. Music everywhere thanks to Napster and other P2P applications. Well, Napster was not P2P actually, and that point became its main source of problems eventually due to legal infringements.
Nothing remains currently of the old Napster network. The company was sold by a tremendous amount of money (I can’t remember the exact amount) and the service was transformed into a iTunes like service, with little success in comparison. But the service still remains alive. Alive and kicking.
Napster is making its entiry music catalog available for mobile purchase in mid-November through AT&T network. The costs will be $1.99 per song or 5 tracks for $7.49.
Good news for Napster that could take advantage of mobile phones to boost the service, gaining momentum again. Regarding AT&T, just one open question: Why, being iPhone’s exclusive carrier, don’t AT&T setup an iTunes service through its network?? Is Apple preparing such a service? Do you still doubt it?

Napster lanza en la red de AT&T un servicio de descargas de todo el catálogo de canciones que tienen disponible. Que lejos quedan los tiempos del Napster P2P….
