UPDATE: Check the new Spanish autocorrection method.
Reading EsferaiPhone we find a new method to change autocorrection dictionary from English to Spanish.
Just follow this steps.
- Download the spanish autocorrection zip file
- Unzip it and you will find three new files that we have to replace in our iPhone
english-stems.dat
english-unigrams.dat
english-unigrams.idx - Access to iPhone File System using iBrick or SSH
- Download to your PC the original files that you will find at /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework
english-stems.dat
english-unigrams.dat
english-unigrams.idx - Upload the new unzip files at the same path
- Reload iPhone pressing and holding the upper button for a few seconds
- If you disabled the autocorrection, activate it.
- Test it!
We have just tested it, and it fails with some words… “we” instead “se”… and others are not translated. But, of course, it is a first great step!
