The bus company Alsa has announced that, during the course of this month, they will provide Wifi connection in their buses of Supra’s series. These buses are the most expensive ones of the company and they could be called of first class or luxury buses.
This service works thanks to an agreement with Vodafone which will place HSDPA routers , capable of providing service to a maximum of 3,6 mbps.
However, and according to the company report, are unclear how the connection will operate in areas where the phone signal is too weak or almost non-existent. However, in locations of good coverage, it will work with 3G technology and in zones with low coverage will be connected through GPRS.
In one word, enough to check the mail and read news, but little more.
