The upcoming release of Symbian S60 3rd FP2 will include widgets support. This is not breaking news. It was already announced in April that S60 would include a Web Run-Time that would allow this new generation of widgets on S60, developed using well-known standard-based web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, DOM.

A very interesting set of slides on how all this actually works, is available in SlideShare. Really good stuff!!!
