Clear and concise. Just the title explains it all…. Over 18.000 free eBooks ready to be downloaded to your mobile device (not just phones but PDAs, iPOD or eBook reader).
The site has a mobile version that allows to navigate through the endless categories, authors…. One of my favorite options is suggestions (You don’t need explanation needed, Don’t you?). Once you have your book chosen, the service presents different formats including:
- jar file (JAVA MIDP)
- Mobipocket
- eReader
- RTF
I’ve been testing the JAR version and I have to say that the results are not very good. It uses a sofware named mjBook 4.0 to read the content. It comes with very limited functionality in my opinion. No chapters, no bookmarking, no pictures, no commands… I think that JME platform allows richer user interfaces. Ok, it’s free and it works, but it is not enough currently.
Anyway, an interesting service for all those that spend long times traveling. At least, is lighter than carrying several books in you bag!!!!!!!!!!!
