It is clear that voice over Ip (VoIP) and instant messaging are true competitors to traditional voice calls. VoIP quality of service is improving each day, the number of users is growing and it is far cheaper than regular voice calls. Another fact confirming this, is the spreading of VoIP oriented software applications.
The latest is Gizmo, which was available long ago for Symbian devices and now hasreleased a version for Java enabled devices, thus greatly increasing the number of users of this software.
Gizmo allows to talk with other Gizmo users paying at data rate. Regular phones (whether mobile or not) can be called if we have call out credit.
Moreover, Gizmo has an instant messaging client which can comunicate with other Gizmo users as well as MSN, AIM, Yaho and Jabber users. File sharing is also possible.

Gizmo Mobile ya esta disponible para dispositivos Java. Esto aumenta exponencialmente el número de usuarios que pueden utilizar esta aplicacion de Voz sobre IP y mensajeria instantanea en su móvil.
