Guardia Civil of Navarra, Spain, will adopt Windows Mobile technology to modernize their processes. The system comprises desktop and mobile applications deployed on HP’s PDAs. The design of the system gives mobile applications focus on data listing while desktop ones are intended on more data recording intensive tasks. For data managed on the move, it includes a data synchonization mechanism, so all data are managed locally on the handset and synchonized later with servers.
The system is currently been used by 10 agents from ‘Guardia Civil’ in a first phase of deployment.
