Apple cuts down iPhone price

September 6th, 2007 by Jose Manuel Cristobal

After two months of being launched, iPhone price has been cut down from 599$ to 399$. Great news for iPhone enthusiasts. Steve Jobs announcement was followed by an enthusiastic applause by the audience. Oh, It hasn’t been the only thing that dropped yesterday. Apple’s value in NASDAQ fell by 5%.

Why do Apple cuts down iPhone price so quickly? quick answer: they are not selling as much as expected. I strongly believe this is the case. Launching the product for just one carrier and just one market doesn’t look to be the most interesting option. Since the phone appeared, there have been tons of rumors related to 3G support for European Market, European Carriers signing agreements with Apple to launch the product, etc.. But nothing new was announced yesterday, but the price cut down.

Apple is clever enough to make their products success, but with the iPhone they could have been too optimistic. Or what’s worst, too arrogant. Let’s see how this ends.

    Rebajas en Apple

Ayer hubo una serie de presentaciones por parte de Steve Jobs y Apple. Pero más que los nuevos gadgets presentados, todo el mundo se quedo con la reducción de precio sobre iPhone.
