As Jose Manuel said, iPhone has suffered a lot of hype. But… more news come up everyday about Apple’s toy. It’s worth to comment.
First place, via Cellular-news we read Peter Erskine, O2 CEO, has confirmed the rumours about O2 being in conversations to distribute iPhone in UK. Moreover, he expected European mobile operators will have to share its customer revenues with Apple, since this is the model Apple has used in the U.S.
Secondly, market analyst iSuppli has revealed that iPhone was the top smartphone seller in July, as we read in The Register and Reuters, catching almost a 2% of the handsets US sales. In fact, the two models of the iPhone sold more than RIM’s Blackberry series, the entire Palm portfolio and any model from Motorola, Nokia or Samsung. ISuppli forecast that Apple would sell 4.5 million iPhones this year, rising to more than 30 million in 2011.
And third, we read via SlashPhone that Washington Post has obtained a document from an Apple’s partner describing an upcoming iPhone Nano that would be about to be announced in the next weeks. This document would also relate to a new iPod model including WiFi and touch-screen. Maybe any of them can be announced today, at Moscone Center in San Francisco.
