Today, my adventure with SevenClick and the rest of the “Clickers” reaches its first month and I would like to share some thoughts about it.
Joining a SME (small/medium enterprise or money-making-behemoth-bussiness in its early stage) is allways quite an adventure, specially when you start the day not knowing exactly what you will have to deal with…
Within these 30 days I have struggled with Windows 2K3, SharePoint Server, Visual Source Safe, Ubuntu Linux, Virtual Box, Apache, Php, MySQL, SQL Server, WordPress,…. without mentioning nightmare-dlls, ****-breaking plug-ins, linux-style configuration files…
I think dealing with these kind of situations prepare yourself for future challenges as well as strenghen team cooperation (help has been needed many times).
Anyway, I am willing to deal with more of them. Name them Project Server, J2ME, Windows CE,…. whatever
Finally, I have to say that, although my previous group of coworkers was very nice, my expectations here have been fullfilled when not overrun!
