Last week we were talking to our friends from GlobbTV about Smartphones and Mobile Operating Systems. The result has been the following interview which appeared yesterday in Globb TV’s IT Channel News.

Following the I Sevenclick Championship of Quasar Elite we did a few weeks ago, we held the I Sevenclick Championship of Karting yesterday.

For the majority of us it was the first time driving a kart, but soon we all were longing to overtake everybody else.

Finally, the experience our CEO and guests prevailed.

As soon as the stiffness in our arms disappears we’ll begin to prepare the rematch!

Good news! HTC Ace and HTC Vision are coming soon to Spain. They will arrive in October and we know the PVD price of them. HTC Ace will cost 420,35 €, and HTC Vision will be 382,64 €.

There are a lot of rumours about how will these devices look like, but here you can see finally a video of HTC Ace / Desire HD and below you can find a picture of the HTC Vision.

We are looking forward to having one of both at the office, =D.

TBSgroup through SevenClick, its company specialized in mobile, it’s announcing in Miami during the launch of new iPhone 4, the development of a new version of Zuppex compatible with iOS.

According to SevenClick team, this new version will be compatible with all devices based on iOS (iPhone, iPad and iPod), facilitating high security voice calls and data sharing.
This way, we complete the list of Zuppex supported platforms (Android, Blackberry and Windows Mobile).

Daniel Vecino, TBSgroup SevenClick’s CEO said that this new version comes after the confirmation of multi-tasking capability of the new iPhone, and in response to the demand made by the international market, especially by public administration, secure forces and intelligence agencies.

Vecino also emphasized the business case of Zaragoza City Council, wich has already used Zuppex during the last two years for certified notices sending, and the imminent deployment in Diputación de Teruel and their City Councils. Thus, Teruel Deputies will be the first ones to sign documents with digital signature from a mobile device.

Last Tuesday, TBSgroup celebrated in Madrid (Spain) a new business breakfast with Dintel about Mobile Digital Signature solutions.

During the event we had the participation of representatives of Dintel
who presented the TBSgroup specialists in this area:

• Vidal Valdunciel (Director Comercial TBSgroup)
• Ramon Martinez (CEO TBSgroup EncomIX)
• Daniel Vecino (CEO TBSgroup SevenClick).

In addition to reviewing the current status of these technologies, TBSgroup presented to the audience the capabilities of its ASF Suite, and the power of your solution Zuppex for accessing to mobility security services and digital signature.

As we mention yesterday via Twitter (@SevenClick), Movistar has confirmed us through their big accounts commercial staff, that they expect iPhone 4G available on presentation day to distribute to VIP clients (we have ordered 10 for TBSgroup

Remember that Steve Jobs will deliver the WWDC keynote on June 7th, so iPhone 4G could be very close to everybody.

We were waiting for it, after so much gossip… finally, Google TV has been announced. And it rocks. Let´s review all the confirmed information:

THE CONCEPT

Google TV is far superior to Apple´s approach (do you remember Apple TV?), which was a kind of TV add-on or supplement. Google bets for a complete renewal of the television concept, which becomes an interactive service where you can search for plays and movies, search over the web, run your favorite apps, or even videochat… all from a fundamental place on people´s lives: your coach.

THE PLAYERS

There are some big players with Google to bring up this new era. Sony is the one building up the TV itself, Logitech will build up set-top-boxes (called Companion Box) to adapt traditional HDTVs to full-featured Google TVs, and will also provide the remote controllers; and Intel will provide its Atom processors to fuel up all with the necessary power.

THE TIMELINE

There are four proposed milestones:

1. TODAY: Google wants us to start optimizing web sites NOW. A Google TV website development guide has been published, mainly an open call to designers and developers to start opening our minds as this new channel has never existed before.
2. 2010 FALL SEASON: Launch of Sony TVs and Blu-Ray player as well as Logitech´s Companion Box. Most probably Google TV will be limited to US users at this time.
3. EARLY 2011: Launch of Android Market, Google TV SDK and TV Web API.
4. SUMMER 2011: All the project will be published as open source !

THE REMOTES

In my opinion, Remote Controllers are one of the key challenges for Google TV. Technology is mature enough on other aspects of the project to take the leap, but interacting with TVs with a practical control, that´s another story and I would dare to say it could determine the massive adoption on “non-geek” homes. Nintendo Wii controllers were probably the only innovation in this field over the years, but are not at all suitable for the task Google TV proposes.

Logitech is the ally selected by Google, and their proposal, if still not unveiled, mixes a compact keyboard, a remote control and a touchpad. There will be an Android app to use Android smartphones as remote controllers, and Logitech blog also suggest a variety of controllers as shows this image, including a video camera for video-chatting.

THE BEST: ANDROID ON YOUR TV

The best of it all is that Android will not be only in your pocket, but in your living room. Google TV technology is built upon Android. We as Android developers can´t wait to embrace this new concept of applications over 40 inch screens .  There is a Chrome browser too, running on top of Android, to navigate the web and play webapps.

Google TV will come with Netflix, Youtube and Hulu pre-installed, but any Android app not needing phone capabilities should work, in fact Google demoed the actual Pandora mobile app published on Android Market.

SO…

We had high expectations on this year´s Google I/O developer conference, but all have been surpassed. Still analyzing how Android 2.2 has raised the bar for Apple (which worths a separated post) , and now Google TV is coming. And will come to stay. I really believe this is the beginning of a new era. And Sevenclick is in.

TBSgroup and Fundación Dintel will discuss in their next TIC Breakfast on May 25th the latest advances in eSignature and mobile devices security.

Voice and data communications with point to point security, electronic signature of documents, certified notices and full solutions for groupware communications with a high degree of confidentiality.

The discuss will have place in the Casino of Madrid and apart from  TBSgroup and Fundación Dintel’s representatives, will have the presences of D. An interesting event that will reveal the latest advances in the field of security applied to mobile devices such as iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Mobile y Blackberry.
